Archbishop Joseph Butler, Primate

Archbishop Joe Butler is the Primate of the Communion of the Convergence Anglican Church. Archbishop Butler has pastored in Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Florida. He earned a B.R.A. from Logos University in Jacksonville, Florida and a B.S. in Ministerial Leadership from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.  He also has earned a Masters of Theological Studies from Logos University and a Master of Arts in Ministerial Leadership from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. He also attended St. Michael’s Seminary. Abp. Butler is a former Adjunt Professor at Logos University in Jacksonville, Florida.

Archbishop Butler is committed to seeing the Good News of the Gospel proclaimed to all and providing a home for those that have been abandoned by the Church, have left the Church, and those who have never had an experience with God.

He is married and has 2 beautiful daughters.  He loves to read, study history and fish.

Bishop David Upshaw

Bishop David Upshaw was the first bishop for the Communion of the Convergence Anglican Church. Bishop David is married and lives outside of Atlanta with his wife.  He was the former Dean of the Cathedral of St. Michael and All Angels in Thomaston, GA.  He was consecrated as a Bishop on December 3, 2005.  Bishop Upshaw attended Georgia State University and graduated from Logos Christian College and Graduate School.  He also attended St. Michael’s Seminary where he completed all required work for his Master’s.  He has training in Domestic Violence and Substance Abuse Counseling and has worked with Hospice.
