As Archbishop, it is with great honor and privilege that I welcome the Reverend Dr. Ronald Moore into the Communion of the Convergence Anglican Church.
The Rev. Dr. Moore resides in Corinth, Mississippi, with his family and serves as Rector of St. Luke’s Anglican Church. We are also pleased to receive St. Luke’s Anglican Church as a Mission Parish within the Communion.
Fr. Moore holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Mississippi State University, a Master of Theology from Southern Theological Seminary, a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Mississippi State University, and a Ph.D. in Theological Studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
In addition to his pastoral ministry, Fr. Moore is the author of a daily Substack publication, The Southern Anglican, through which he offers thoughtful reflections on Anglican faith, theology, and ministry.
Within the Communion, Fr. Moore’s ministry will emphasize church planting, teaching, and writing as he seeks to advance the mission of Christ and His Church.
The Rite of Reception into the Communion of the Convergence Anglican Church will be conducted by me, Archbishop Joseph Butler, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Trinity Anglican Church in Douglasville, Georgia.
We give thanks to Almighty God for Fr. Moore, his family, and the ministry of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, and we look forward to serving alongside them in the work of the Gospel.
